Voting Methods

Colorado voters may vote by mail ballot or in person at a Voter Service and Polling Center.

Mail Ballot

Active registered voters receive a ballot by mail starting around June 8.

Voters may return their completed ballot by postage-paid mail, secure ballot drop box, or in-person delivery at a Voter Service and Polling Center.

Ballots must be received (not just postmarked) by the county clerk by 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.

In-Person Voting

Voters may cast their ballot in person at a Voter Service and Polling Center.

Early in-person voting begins June 22, 2026. On Election Day, June 30, centers are open from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Voters may visit any Voter Service and Polling Center in their county. Voters who received a mail ballot may surrender it and vote in person instead. Same-day voter registration and party affiliation changes are available at Voter Service and Polling Centers.

Important Rules for Unaffiliated Voters

Unaffiliated voters should carefully follow the instructions included with their ballot.

Unaffiliated voters receive ballots for both major parties, Democratic and Republican, but only one ballot may be returned. Returning more than one party ballot may cause the ballot to be rejected.

Unaffiliated voters may also change their party affiliation or select a specific ballot at a Voter Service and Polling Center up until Election Day.
